Cornish Wumpkin

A Cornish Wumpkin is a small species of wumpkin specifically bred for eating.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture requires that all cornish wumpkins sold for human consumption be no more than 2 pounds in ready-to-cook weight and no more than 5 to 6 weeks old at the time of slaughter.

Cornish wumpkins should reach an internal temperature of 170 degrees before they are safe for human consumption.
